Dear Church,
It is so good to be back with you and continuing to figure out how to love one another and our neighbors in this strange year. The faith community is wondrously built around committees of leadership who are constantly seeing God’s path forward, and the church just wouldn’t function without the love and commitment from each committee member and all our beloved leadership. THANKS to all of you who faithfully continue the work!

Speaking of continuing the work, Session met this week and made the decision to keep holding worship online for the safety of our congregation, BUT WE WILL HAVE LIVE-STREAMING FROM THE SANCTUARY VERY SOON! In the coming weeks we will be looking for live-streaming volunteers, scripture readers, and family participants for worship coming from our beloved sanctuary again. The staff and leadership are working VERY hard  to love and serve you all right now, so thanks for your patience, your stream of ideas, and your volunteering to help make ministry continue to thrive at FPC!

Another way we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world is to respond with the greater church. This entire week is/was the Presbyterian Church (USA’s) Week of Action. You can find out more about what happened and is happening HERE.

One of the ways we are continuing this work is by starting a “Love Thy Neighbor” Book Club! This will be a very low-commitment opportunity for busy people; you can join in for every book we feature or just read the ones you want when you can! We will read books that range from justice to fiction to spirituality, all of which will challenge us in our own faith journeys to love our neighbors and grow our hearts. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please fill out this super brief INTEREST FORM. Bailey will be sending out more information soon.

And as you go about your week, lift up some big prayers for our confirmands who will be confirmed on Sunday afternoon! We’ll share the worship video with you in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, check out their faith statements and learn a little more about them HERE

Peace be yours,
Pastor Lindsay

The work of the church continues during this time – and a virus cannot even stop us! Make sure you are mailing in your pledge, in gratitude for all we have and all we are, by God’s grace. Online donations are easy and secure, and special gifts are ALWAYS welcome – it’s how we continue to love and serve our people and neighbors in need, maintain our building, appreciate our staff, and more.

All businesses (including churches) are required to have a protocol for this strange season of COVID-19. With a big thanks to Lynnette, we have a working protocol, and it can be viewed HERE. Note, committees can now meet in the church, but there are some rules and regulations we must follow to keep everyone safe. Click HERE for the guidelines. Call the church office with any questions or to set up a meeting. Most importantly, be kind, be well, and be safe.

Remember to join us each Sunday at for worship opportunities with Lindsay, Ben, Bailey and special friends at 10:00 am! If you are unable to watch live, you can always access recordings of all of the above at
