Dear Church,
As this is hitting your inboxes, the staff are meeting via ZOOM to figure out our next phase of working for and leading you all in worship and the business of the church. As you well know, the work of the church is never done and lately has gone through a great deal of hoop jumping and last minute re-configuring so we can continue to have worship, learning opportunities, music, mission engagement and more. Thanks for being patient with us, for your encouragement, and for your willingness to engage with the continued ministry in these strange, scary and wondrous times.

Starting Monday, May 11, we are going to try to move forward with some regular office hours. Staff will be in the church office Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and on Fridays from 9:00 am to 12 noon. THAT SAID, DO NOT PLAN ON STOPPING BY THE CHURCH AGAIN AT WILL! Previously on a regular day, we could see dozens of church members, community volunteers, delivery workers and service people in the building – in our current COVID-19 world, we simply cannot maintain a safe working environment the way we used to. SO, be patient with us as we phase into a new normal.

If you have a need at the church:

  1. CALL AHEAD and schedule a time to come to the church.
  2. PLEASE WEAR A MASK whenever you are out in public, but we will also REQUIRE YOU TO WEAR ONE TO ENTER THE BUILDING. Staff will be wearing them when they are moving around the building or interacting with one another too. It’s how we can keep everyone safe.
  3. If you are dropping off or picking something up, DO NOT plan to come inside the building. If you have something to drop off, call first during office hours and leave it by the door and someone will come to pick it up. If you need to pick up something, again, call first and someone will come to the door to give you what you need.
Updated instructions for entering the building will be posted on the door where the buzzer is by the church parking lot. This system may change again, and we will keep you posted as best we can. Again, THANKS for your understanding as we safely “turn up the dial” at church.

For all of you discovering more new normals as the phasing continues in this new reality, may God be with you. Take good care of yourselves, your neighbors, and the gift of life God gave you.

Peace be yours,
Pastor Lindsay

Dixie Johnson died this week. We give thanks for her life and witness, and cling fiercely to the words of Jesus who says to those grieving, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” Tentative plans are being made for late summer/early fall and will be shared when confirmed.

Mark your calendar for our next Church Coffee Hour! It’s coming up on Sunday, May 24 at 11:00 am. Get your coffee and donuts, and click the link below so we can catch up with one another. It was so good to see so many of you last time! Let’s gather again, and please encourage a friend to join in!

Church flowers are not being purchased at this time as they normally were. However, our friends at Becky’s Floral are willing to deliver Sunday flowers for us again to some of our beloved that are isolated these days. If you would like to contribute to the flower fund, please make your check out to the church and include “flower fund” in the memo (or in the memo line in your online giving). Bouquet + delivery is $30.

Check this LINK from the Mankato United Way and see how you can help and serve our local community during this time.
