Dear Church,

We are coming up on our last week of the Stewardship Sunday Series, and I hope you have had time to consider your gifts, how you can serve and give to the church, and are readying yourself to make your pledge! Remember, we receive pledges as a church so we can budget and plan for programming, staff, mission, and building (and more!) in the coming year. And we’ll receive those pledges on Sunday, October 11 between 4 – 6 pm during our SOUL FOOD & STEWARDSHIP DRIVE THRU!

Speaking of Soul Food & Stewardship…we hope you have marked your calendar for that event, because we’re ALSO using that time as a Congregational Meeting to elect our incoming Elders (3) and Deacons (4) to love and serve our community and beyond. See more information below about how the Congregational Meeting will work.

So go ahead and make your plans now – pledge, ballot (coming to you in the mail) and and start dreaming about brisket and pulled pork and “mac attack” from TNT Eats all with a side of Ben’s smooth jazz tunes as you drive thru (weather permitting!). What better way to say YES to this fabulous community of faith at First Presbyterian Church?!

Peace be yours,
Pastor Lindsay

WITH HEART-FELT THANKS…
David Nelson is retiring from being the church projectionist after many years of putting together and running worship slides. Thanks be to God for David creatively using his gifts to help us worship together. When the time comes for in-person worship and responsive reading/singing again, we’ll be in need of a projectionist! If this fits your gifts and your willing heart, please let Pastor Lindsay know.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING OCTOBER 11
Please mark your calendar and plan to participate in our annual Congregational Meeting. These are scheduled every fall to elect officers to serve as Elders and Deacons. We are being creative in this season and will mail ballots in the October Communicator. You will cast your vote by bringing your ballot to the Soul Food & Stewardship Drive Thru October 11 between 4 – 6 pm. Please let the church know if you need to mail in your ballot or need someone to pick it up!
